Officially opening in December 1901, the Bairnsdale Bowls Club has been more than just a place to play, it’s been a gathering place for friendship, teamwork, and community spirit.
Rooted in tradition yet always welcoming new faces, the Club continues to be a cornerstone of local life.
Our three beautifully maintained tifdwarf grass greens offer the perfect surface for bowlers of all levels, from those enjoying a casual roll, up to those competing at the highest standard. Every game reflects the Club’s belief in fair play, connection, and the joy of shared achievement.
Beyond the greens, the Club is a vibrant social hub. With three unique bars, a welcoming bistro serving delicious meals, and a relaxing Retreat area, there’s always a place to gather, celebrate, and unwind.

Your Club Membership Benefits
The Bairnsdale Bowls Club provide a vast array of benefits for all of its members and as a Social member of the Club you are also able to achieve all these privileges, benefits and entitlements of the Club. These benefits include:
- Discounts on all drinks purchased at any of the members room, bistro or gaming room bars. Your members card must be shown.
- Discounts on all meals purchased at the Krakkerjack Bistro. Again your members card must be shown. The bistro is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
- Use of the Club members lounge.
- Inclusion in the twice weekly members draw held on each Thursday and Friday evening all year round. This draw can be anywhere between $500 and $2,000 depending on when it was last won. The draw is at a random time between 6.00pm
and 7.00pm on each of these nights. Members MUST be at the Club to win the draw. - Access to the Club's excellent coffee machine with an array of coffee selections and all members again receive a discount on these on production of their members card.
- Free Wi-Fi available for Club members.
- Members have the benefit of not being required to “sign in” at the front counter on entry to the Club.
- All members are extended an incentive to use their cards via both the discounts and also the accumulation of bonus points each time a purchase is made either at the bar, bistro, coffee machine, or even with take away drinks. These points can then be redeemed for bar, bistro and/or coffee purchases.
There are also other ways to use your members card to receive incentive points and/or Club rewards. When you visit the Club simply swipe your card in the “kiosk” at the main entry off Grant Street (bistro entry). This will automatically accrue 10 bonus points on your card. Each day this action will also give you the chance to win 500 bonus points, a free drink and/or $5 worth of free raffle tickets for the Friday night raffle.
You will also automatically receive 500 bonus points if you swipe your card during the month of your birthday (providing we have your date of birth). Members cards can only be “swiped” once per day.
The Club also runs 4 major promotions during the year and all members are included in these promotions. You can accumulate tickets for entry in the promotion in the lead up to the night via bar or bistro purchases. There is also, on most occasions, further members cash incentive draws on these nights for just being in attendance.
As you can see there are many incentives for using your Bowls Club card to achieve discounts, reward points and bonus give away items. If you should have any difficulty in using your card at any point within the Club, simply ask one of our friendly staff members to assist you. The Bowling Club is always looking at increasing our member rewards and new incentives will continue to grow for you. Your support of the Bairnsdale Bowls Club will greatly assist in our desire to continue to develop our Club to meet all our member needs.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The purpose of a Code of Conduct is to provide members, guests, visitors, staff, administrators and tradespeople a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT:
- It is the Club objective to create an environment that is reflective of integrity, honesty, good sportsmanship and
respect. - To acknowledge the club as family friendly, and that obscene language and boisterous behaviour is unacceptable.
- All players must observe etiquette on the bowling greens and croquet lawns and in the club house, at all times.
- All members and visitors MUST show respect to fellow members, staff and other visitors at all times.
- Remarks or actions with racial, religious, age or sexual implications are not acceptable.
- It is not acceptable to denigrate, talk down to, nor have physical or verbal altercation with other members, visitors or staff.
- Be aware that the Club Manager is responsible for instructing staff in their performance and duties and that members and visitors have no authority to instruct or reprimand staff.
- Everyone must recognise and acknowledge that smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas.
- Any complaints or suggestions should be made in writing to the Manager, or to the Club Board of Management.
BREACHES OF THE CODE:
Any inappropriate conduct within the respective sections can be heard and dealt with by the respective section of the Club, and penalties may be applied, including suspension from the Club if warranted.
Any reported breach or breaches of the Code of Conduct will be addressed by the Club Board of Management. As a result of any investigation for breaches of the Code of Conduct, penalties, including member reprimands and/or suspensions, can be applied.
